Stian Ulriksen Photography (Ulriksen Consulting LLC) (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a family, maternity, senior, lifestyle photography studio based in Melissa, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit stianulriksen.com, book a session, or communicate with us, and how we use and protect it.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number (optional), mailing address, session details, and anything you share in contact or booking forms. Session details can include family members’ names, children’s ages or birth years, and your preferences.
- Booking and payment information: session date, package and payment status. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Client gallery information: when you access a gallery, we create an account tied to your email address so we can deliver your photos. We also keep a record of your orders and downloads.
- Automatically collected information: basic device, browser and usage data. This is collected through cookies and Google Analytics 4 so we can understand how the site is used.
How we use your information
- To respond to inquiries and schedule, confirm and prepare for your session
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and gallery-ready notices, and to deliver your photos
- To process payments and orders
- To send occasional emails about mini sessions and seasonal offers, if you’ve joined our email list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To improve our website and services
Text messaging (SMS)
If you provide your phone number and check the SMS consent box, we may send you text messages about your inquiry and your session: booking confirmations, appointment reminders, scheduling updates and gallery delivery notices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of booking or purchase.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. This excludes service providers that help us deliver messages, such as our SMS platform.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for them to perform those services. These include website hosting, email delivery, our booking system, our payment processor, our SMS provider, and Google Analytics. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Photos of you and your family
We may share select images from your session in our portfolio, on our website, or on Instagram and Facebook. Our Terms & Conditions explain how this works. If you’d prefer we don’t share your images, tell us before or after your session and we’ll respect that. We never publish children’s full names, and we never publish location details that identify your home.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies to keep you logged in to your client gallery, to remember your cart, and for analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, but gallery login and ordering may not work correctly.
Data retention and security
We keep client records and session images for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal and tax obligations. Galleries may be archived after 6 months. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no online system is 100% secure.
Your choices
You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can also unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, and opt out of texts by replying STOP. To make a request, email us at the address below.
Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them online. Information about children, such as names and ages for a family session, is provided only by a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
