These terms apply when you use stianulriksen.com, book a session with Stian Ulriksen Photography (Ulriksen Consulting LLC), or buy or download images from your gallery. By booking or using the site, you agree to them.
1. Which terms apply to your session
Sessions vary by type and offer. That includes length, what’s included, group size, pricing, payment schedule, and cancellation and rescheduling terms. Two things take precedence over these general terms: the details on the booking or product page for your specific session, and any written agreement between you and us (including by email). The general policies in sections 2 and 3 apply only where those are silent.
2. General session policies
- Please arrive on time, dressed and ready. Sessions, especially mini sessions, may be scheduled back-to-back, so a late start may mean a shorter session.
- If you or a family member is sick, please reschedule for another available date.
3. Payment, cancellations and rescheduling
Unless your session’s booking page or your agreement with us says otherwise:
- A 50% deposit is required to book. The remaining balance is due one week before your session date.
- Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel, your deposit is held as credit toward any future session and is valid for one year.
- You’re welcome to reschedule anytime an open slot is available. Just reach out and we’ll sort it out.
- If weather or an emergency on our end prevents the session, we’ll reschedule at no cost to you.
4. Galleries and delivery
- Edited images are delivered through a private online gallery, accessed with your email address. Your gallery will be ready within [X] weeks of your session.
- Galleries stay online for [X days/months]. Please download your images and keep a backup. We are not responsible for storing images long term.
- Photographer selects and edits the final images in their signature style. Unedited or RAW files are not provided.
5. Copyright and image use
- Stian Ulriksen Photography owns the copyright to all images.
- Digital downloads and print purchases come with a personal-use license. You may print, share with family and friends, and post on personal social media. Please credit or tag @ulriksenphoto when you share.
- You may not sell your images, use them commercially, submit them to contests, or edit or apply filters to them and then present them as our work.
- We may use images from your session in our portfolio, website, social media and marketing. If you’d prefer we don’t, let us know in writing, and we’ll keep your gallery private.
6. Liability
We take great care with your images, but in the rare event of equipment failure, file loss or a similar issue beyond our control, our liability is limited to a refund of the amounts you paid for the affected session. Sessions often happen outdoors, and you’re responsible for supervising children during the session.
7. Text messaging (SMS) program
- Program: Stian Ulriksen Photography client messages.
- What you’ll receive: if you give your phone number and check the SMS consent box on our form, we’ll text you about your inquiry and session. That includes booking confirmations, appointment reminders, scheduling updates and gallery delivery notices.
- Frequency: varies. Typically a few messages around each booking.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out: reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. We’ll send one confirmation that you’ve been unsubscribed. To rejoin, reply START.
- Help: reply HELP, or contact us.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Consent to receive texts is not required to book or buy anything.
- Our Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled. Mobile opt-in data is never shared with third parties for marketing.
8. Website use
All content on this site belongs to Stian Ulriksen Photography, including photos, text and design. It may not be copied or reused without permission. Please don’t misuse the site, attempt to access galleries that aren’t yours, or share your gallery login link with people outside your family.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in effect when you book apply to your session. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
